Hot Desking Via VentureTel Portal

Hot desking is a feature that allows a user to login/out of a phone so that there extension follows them.  Typically hot desking is used in a scenario where multiple people may use the same phone on different days, and a user would login to the phone for that day when they sit down at there workstation and log out of the phone at the end of the day.

To hot desk via the VentureTel Portal, login at and go to Users on the left menu in Smart PBX.

In the users screen, you'll see the different user accounts and under the devices tab, the different devices attached to your user account.  To login to a device, click the devices box on your user account, and select the appropriate device that you want to log in to and save your changes.

Your device should reboot and register with the cloud and you'll be able to make and receive phone calls from your personal extension.

To logout of the phone, select un-assign and save changes.  Note: If no devices are assigned to your user account, calls to your extension will go directly to your voicemail.
